Find Your Aadhaar Card
The Aadhaar card carries a 12-digit unique identity number issued by the Government of India and is one of the most important documents for bank accounts, government schemes, SIM cards and many other services. If you have forgotten your Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID (EID), or have lost your Aadhaar card, there is no need to worry. Using the “Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID” facility on the UIDAI portal, you can get your Aadhaar details back from home.

How to Retrieve a Lost Aadhaar Number / EID
- Open the UIDAI website myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and choose “Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID”.
- Choose whether you need your Aadhaar number (UID) or your Enrolment ID (EID).
- Enter your full name as recorded in Aadhaar and your registered mobile number or email.
- Fill in the captcha code and click “Send OTP”.
- Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile / email to verify.
- Your Aadhaar number / EID will be sent to your registered mobile by SMS (or by email).
Keep These Ready Before You Start
- Your name exactly as spelled on your Aadhaar.
- Your Aadhaar-registered mobile number or email ID that is in working condition.
- If you have your old Enrolment Slip, the EID is printed on it as well.
Important Points
- Enter the name spelling exactly as in the Aadhaar record, otherwise the details will not be found.
- If your mobile number is not registered with Aadhaar or is no longer active, first update it at the nearest Aadhaar center (the fee prescribed by UIDAI applies).
- Do not share your Aadhaar number on social media or with strangers.
- Use only the official UIDAI website or the mAadhaar app for this service.

खोया हुआ आधार नंबर / EID कैसे पाएं?
- UIDAI की वेबसाइट myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in खोलें और "Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID" चुनें।
- चुनें कि आपको आधार नंबर (UID) चाहिए या एनरोलमेंट आईडी (EID)।
- आधार में दर्ज अपना पूरा नाम और रजिस्टर्ड मोबाइल नंबर या ईमेल डालें।
- कैप्चा कोड भरें और "Send OTP" पर क्लिक करें।
- रजिस्टर्ड मोबाइल / ईमेल पर आया OTP डालकर वेरिफाई करें।
- आपका आधार नंबर / EID आपके रजिस्टर्ड मोबाइल पर SMS (या ईमेल) से भेज दिया जाएगा।
शुरू करने से पहले तैयार रखें
- आधार में दर्ज नाम, ठीक उसी स्पेलिंग में जैसा आधार पर लिखा है।
- आधार से रजिस्टर्ड मोबाइल नंबर या ईमेल ID जो चालू हो।
- पुरानी नामांकन पर्ची (Enrolment Slip) हो तो उस पर भी EID लिखी होती है।
ज़रूरी बातें
- नाम की स्पेलिंग आधार के रिकॉर्ड जैसी ही डालें, वरना जानकारी नहीं मिलेगी।
- अगर आपका मोबाइल नंबर आधार से रजिस्टर्ड नहीं है या बंद हो चुका है, तो पहले नज़दीकी आधार केंद्र पर मोबाइल नंबर अपडेट कराएं (UIDAI का निर्धारित शुल्क लगता है)।
- अपना आधार नंबर सोशल मीडिया या किसी अनजान व्यक्ति से साझा न करें।
- सेवा के लिए केवल UIDAI की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट या mAadhaar ऐप का ही उपयोग करें।
