If your driving licence is lost, stolen, torn or damaged, you can apply for a duplicate. The application can be started on Sarathi Parivahan, and the new card is issued by your RTO after verification.
When Do You Need a Duplicate DL?
A duplicate licence is issued when the original is lost, stolen, destroyed or badly damaged. For a lost or stolen licence, file a police complaint first and keep the FIR/NCR copy. For a damaged card, you can usually show the damaged card as proof.
