Process to Apply for a New Ration Card

Keep your Jan Aadhaar ready and check that all members' names, Aadhaar numbers and dates of birth are correct.
See the 'Food Security Scheme/Ration Card Application Form' information on food.rajasthan.gov.in, or go straight to your nearest e-Mitra centre.
You can also apply with your SSO ID. At e-Mitra, the operator fills the application through the SSO.
Fill in name, address, family member details, gas connection, income and bank account details in the form.
Attach a recent passport size photo and all documents. Check that no document is missing.
Submit the application and take the e-Mitra receipt.
The department checks and verifies the application. Keep asking your e-Mitra or district food office about the status of the card.
Once you have the card number, you can download the ration card from the RRCC portal (by entering district and ration card number).

Common Problems and Solutions

Name already in another ration card: Get the name removed there first, otherwise a fresh application can get stuck.
Application is pending: Contact the district food office with your e-Mitra receipt, or complain on 181.
