When Is Form 7 Used?

Common genuine reasons are death of the voter, permanent shifting to another place, the same person enrolled twice, being under age, or not being an Indian citizen.
Details and Documents Needed
- EPIC number or full details of the entry to be removed (name, part number, constituency).

Steps: File Form 7 Online
- Open voters.eci.gov.in or the Voter Helpline App and log in with your mobile number and OTP.
- Choose Form 7 (objection to inclusion / deletion of name in the electoral roll).
- Select whether you are deleting your own name or objecting to another person's entry.
- Pick the state, district, assembly constituency and part, then enter the EPIC number or details of the entry.
- Select the reason (death, shifted, already enrolled, and so on).
- Fill in the applicant details and upload the supporting document, if needed.

- Save the reference number and track the status on the portal.

What Happens After You Submit
An OTP is sent to your registered mobile for e-verification, which helps stop misuse of the form. Submitting Form 7 does not delete the entry automatically. The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) reviews the request, may order a field check by the BLO, and can send a notice to the person concerned before taking a decision.

Important Precautions
- File Form 7 only with genuine reasons and correct details. A false objection can lead to legal action.
- If you have moved within India, do not delete your name first. Use the shifting option (Form 8) or register in the new area as the portal guides.

सबमिट करने के बाद क्या होता है
