How to Order a New or Replacement Voter ID Card Online (Lost, Damaged or Updated Card)
If your voter card is lost, damaged or has outdated details, you can request a replacement EPIC through Form 8 on the Voters' Services Portal. A new voter who has just been added to the roll receives the first card after approval of Form 6. This guide explains which route applies to you, the steps to follow and the documents to keep ready.
Which Route Applies to You?
New voter: after your Form 6 is approved, the first EPIC is issued automatically. You do not need to order it separately.
Existing voter: if the card is lost or damaged, or if you want a fresh card after correcting your details, apply for a replacement EPIC using Form 8. If you only need the card quickly, you can also download the e-EPIC.
Documents to Keep Ready
- Your EPIC (Voter ID) number.
- For a lost card: a copy of the FIR or police report.
- For a damaged card: the damaged card, which you return to the ERO.
- An active mobile number or email ID for OTP login.
- Aadhaar number, if you wish to furnish it.
Steps: Apply for a Replacement Voter ID Card
- Open voters.eci.gov.in or the Voter Helpline App and log in.
- Choose Form 8.

After Your Request Is Approved

अनुरोध मंजूर होने के बाद
