3. Open My Profile and tap re-KYC (e-KYC), then give consent.
4. Complete the face scan in good light, holding the phone at eye level.
5. Wait for the success message and save a screenshot.

Steps at Home: Bharat Gas (HelloBPCL)

1. Install HelloBPCL and Aadhaar FaceRD.
2. Register in the app and tap e-KYC on the home screen.
3. Enter the six-digit OTP, accept the terms and tap Proceed.
4. Do the face scan and wait for confirmation.

Steps at Home: HP Gas (HP PAY)

1. Install HP PAY and Aadhaar FaceRD.
2. Register with your HP Gas mobile number, enter the OTP and set a 4-digit MPIN.
3. Go to My HP > LPG > e-KYC and accept the terms.
4. Capture your face through the Aadhaar FaceRD app and save the success message.

If You Use Delivery or Distributor

• Delivery person: tell them when you book. They authenticate you on the spot through the company app, so the connection holder must be present.
• Distributor: carry the Aadhaar card and consumer details. Staff do the authentication at the counter and give you an acknowledgement.
• Do not pay any agent. If it fails, ask the distributor to check that your name, consumer number and Aadhaar are linked properly.

What Happens If You Miss It

• Subsidised refill booking is processed only after authentication is done. You can complete it later and the subsidised booking is restored.
• As per reports, those who skip it may still buy LPG, but without subsidy, at market price. Some customers may be offered 5 kg or 10 kg cylinders at market rates, subject to availability.
• Your connection is not reported to be cancelled. Exact prices and rules for non-authenticated users were not clearly stated in the sources, so check with your distributor.

Common Problems and Fixes

• Face scan fails: face a window or bright light, remove glasses and hold the phone at eye level. After three or four attempts, use fingerprint at the distributor.

• Fingerprint not reading: ask for face or iris authentication.
