Canara Bank has invited online applications for 3,500 Graduate Apprentice training seats for FY 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Eligible Indian graduates can apply from 01 October 2026 to 17 October 2026. This is a 12-month apprenticeship, not a regular bank job.

Seats are provisional and may change per Bank requirement. You can choose only ONE state; district allotment depends on need and availability. PwBD seats are horizontal reservation within state totals (nationwide: HI 32, OC 30, VI 39, ID 24). Local language of the state is required (see below).

📋Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Indian citizen.
Age: 20 to 28 years as on 01.09.2026 (born between 02.09.1998 and 01.09.2006, both inclusive).
Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university, passed between 01.01.2023 and 01.09.2026.
Local language: Those who studied the state's language in class 10th/12th are exempt from the test; others must pass a local language test at document verification.
Not eligible: anyone who has done or is doing apprenticeship elsewhere, or was terminated for own fault; anyone with 1+ year of training/job experience after graduation; ex-servicemen.
Medical fitness as per Bank requirement.
Only one state can be selected; only one application per candidate (latest valid one is retained).

Maximum age is 28 for General/EWS. SC/ST/OBC relaxation is cumulative with only one other category.

🎯Reservation & Special Rules

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD follows state-wise Government norms.
PwBD: minimum 40% benchmark disability with permanent (not temporary) certificate; categories VI, HI, OC and ID (incl. multiple disabilities). UDID card and certificate required.
OBC: valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate in Govt. of India format; creamy layer candidates must apply as General.
EWS: family gross income below Rs 8 lakh, and asset limits met; Income & Asset Certificate required.
Reserved category candidates may also apply for unreserved seats if eligible.

⚖️Selection Process

Merit list is state-wise, based on 12th / Diploma percentage entered in your application. Ties are broken by higher age.
Minimum marks: 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). Fractions are ignored (59.99% = 59%).
CGPA/OGPA must be converted to percentage with a proper certificate.
Final selection: document verification, local language test (if required) and medical fitness.

👴Stipend & Training Terms

Monthly stipend: Rs 16,650 (Bank pays Rs 10,500; Government share Rs 6,150 via DBT). Loss of pay is adjusted.
Apprentices are not employees of the Bank; PF, ESI, bonus etc. are not applicable and there is no guarantee of a job.
Working hours as per clerical cadre; overtime only with approval.
12 casual leaves per year (1 per completed month, max 4 at a time); Bank holidays apply.
Contract is issued digitally on the NATS portal and must be accepted in time. NATS joint certificate is given on completion.
Bank may terminate the contract on misconduct or unsatisfactory performance with 7 days' notice.
A waitlist is kept for one year.

💵How to Apply

Register on nats.education.gov.in and complete 100% profile; note the enrollment ID.
Open the Bank's application link (Careers → Recruitment) and click New Registration.
Fill the form carefully; name must match your 10th marksheet. No changes after Final Submit.
Upload photo (20-50 KB), signature (10-20 KB), left thumb impression (20-50 KB) and handwritten declaration (50-100 KB) in JPG/JPEG. No capital letters in signature or declaration.
Pay the fee online (if applicable), then save the e-receipt and application printout.

Handwritten declaration (English, not in capitals): "I, ____ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required."

सीटें अस्थायी हैं और बैंक की आवश्यकता अनुसार बदल सकती हैं। केवल ONE राज्य चुन सकते हैं; जिलों का आवंटन जरूरत और उपलब्धता पर निर्भर है। PwBD आरक्षण राज्य की कुल सीटों के भीतर होरिजॉन्टल है (कुल: HI 32, OC 30, VI 39, ID 24)। चुने गए राज्य की स्थानीय भाषा की जानकारी जरूरी है।

📋पात्रता

नागरिकता: भारतीय नागरिक।
आयु: 01.09.2026 को 20 से 28 वर्ष (जन्म 02.09.1998 से 01.09.2006 के बीच, दोनों दिन शामिल)।
योग्यता: किसी भी विषय में मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से स्नातक, जो 01.01.2023 से 01.09.2026 के बीच उत्तीर्ण किया हो।
स्थानीय भाषा: जिन्होंने 10वीं/12वीं में उस राज्य की भाषा पढ़ी है, उन्हें टेस्ट नहीं देना होगा; अन्य को दस्तावेज सत्यापन के समय टेस्ट पास करना होगा।
अपात्र: जो पहले अप्रेंटिसशिप कर चुके हों या कर रहे हों या अपनी गलती से हटाए गए हों; स्नातक के बाद 1 वर्ष या अधिक ट्रेनिंग/नौकरी अनुभव वाले; पूर्व सैनिक।
बैंक की आवश्यकता अनुसार मेडिकल फिटनेस।
केवल एक राज्य और एक ही आवेदन मान्य (एक से अधिक होने पर आखिरी वैध आवेदन)।

🎯आरक्षण और विशेष नियम

SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD आरक्षण राज्यवार सरकारी नियमों के अनुसार।
PwBD: न्यूनतम 40% बेंचमार्क दिव्यांगता और स्थायी (अस्थायी नहीं) प्रमाणपत्र; श्रेणियां VI, HI, OC, ID (बहु-दिव्यांगता सहित)। UDID कार्ड जरूरी।
OBC: भारत सरकार के प्रारूप में वैध नॉन-क्रीमी लेयर प्रमाणपत्र; क्रीमी लेयर वाले General में आवेदन करें।
EWS: परिवार की सकल आय 8 लाख से कम और संपत्ति सीमा के भीतर; आय एवं संपत्ति प्रमाणपत्र जरूरी।
आरक्षित वर्ग के उम्मीदवार पात्र होने पर अनारक्षित सीटों पर भी आवेदन कर सकते हैं।

⚖️चयन प्रक्रिया

राज्यवार मेरिट लिस्ट आवेदन में भरे 12वीं / डिप्लोमा के प्रतिशत पर बनेगी। बराबरी पर अधिक आयु वाले को प्राथमिकता।
न्यूनतम अंक: 60% (SC/ST/PwBD के लिए 55%)। दशमलव नहीं गिना जाएगा (59.99% = 59%)।
CGPA/OGPA को प्रतिशत में बदलकर प्रमाणपत्र देना होगा।
अंतिम चयन: दस्तावेज सत्यापन, स्थानीय भाषा टेस्ट (जहां जरूरी) और मेडिकल फिटनेस पर निर्भर।

👴स्टाइपेंड और ट्रेनिंग शर्तें

मासिक स्टाइपेंड: 16,650 रुपये (बैंक 10,500 रुपये देगा; सरकार का हिस्सा 6,150 रुपये DBT से)। Loss of pay कटेगा।
अप्रेंटिस बैंक के कर्मचारी नहीं होंगे; PF, ESI, बोनस लागू नहीं और नौकरी की कोई गारंटी नहीं।
कार्य समय क्लेरिकल कैडर के अनुसार; ओवरटाइम केवल स्वीकृति से।
साल में 12 आकस्मिक छुट्टियां (हर पूर्ण माह पर 1, एक बार में अधिकतम 4); बैंक अवकाश लागू।
अप्रेंटिसशिप कॉन्ट्रैक्ट NATS पोर्टल पर डिजिटल मिलेगा, समय पर स्वीकार करना होगा। पूर्ण होने पर NATS संयुक्त प्रमाणपत्र मिलेगा।
दुर्व्यवहार या असंतोषजनक प्रदर्शन पर बैंक 7 दिन के नोटिस पर कॉन्ट्रैक्ट समाप्त कर सकता है।
एक वर्ष के लिए वेटिंग लिस्ट रखी जाएगी।

💵आवेदन कैसे करें

nats.education.gov.in पर रजिस्टर करें, प्रोफाइल 100% पूरी करें और Enrollment ID सुरक्षित रखें।
बैंक की वेबसाइट (Careers → Recruitment) का आवेदन लिंक खोलकर New Registration करें।
फॉर्म ध्यान से भरें; नाम 10वीं की मार्कशीट जैसा हो। Final Submit के बाद बदलाव नहीं होगा।
फोटो (20-50 KB), हस्ताक्षर (10-20 KB), बायां अंगूठा निशान (20-50 KB) और हस्तलिखित घोषणा (50-100 KB) JPG/JPEG में अपलोड करें। हस्ताक्षर/घोषणा CAPITAL LETTERS में न हो।
शुल्क ऑनलाइन जमा करें (यदि लागू), फिर e-receipt और आवेदन का प्रिंटआउट सुरक्षित रखें।
