The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has invited online applications from meritorious sportspersons (male and female) for 521 posts of Head Constable (General Duty) and Constable (General Duty) under the Sports Quota 2026. The recruitment covers 22 sports disciplines and has no written examination. Selection is based on document verification, PST, a sports trial, a medical examination and a merit list built from sports achievement marks.

✅Eligibility
Age Limit
For both posts, the age must be 18 to 23 years as on 01-08-2026, meaning the candidate should be born between 02-08-2003 and 01-08-2008. Category-wise upper age relaxation is given in the “Category-wise Age Relaxation” section above.
Educational Qualification

Sports Qualification
For Head Constable (GD):
- Represented India in recognised international competitions, with the required clearance.
- Represented a State/UT in National Games or Championships and secured a medal or a position up to third place.
- Secured first or second position in an individual event at Inter-University tournaments.
For Constable (GD):
- Represented a State in Senior or Junior national-level Games or Championships.
- Represented a State School team in National School Games conducted by SGFI and won a medal or position up to third place.
- Represented a State/UT in Khelo India University, Youth or Winter Games and won a medal or position up to third place.
- Represented their University in tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards.
The sports achievement/certificate should fall within the last two years as defined in the advertisement (reported as 30-09-2024 to 30-09-2026). A candidate can apply for only one post.
Physical Standards
- Height: 170 cm for male and 157 cm for female candidates.
- Chest (male): 80 cm unexpanded with at least 5 cm expansion.
- Relaxations apply to specified categories. Outstanding sportspersons who need some relaxation in height, chest or weight for their sport may be recommended by the Board of Officers, subject to approval of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

- Identity verification / biometric capture

- Sports Trial Test (carries no marks, but candidates who fail the trial are not considered)

- Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and, where applicable, Review Medical Examination (RME)

Is there a written exam?
No. Selection is through documentation, PST, sports trial, medical examination and a sports-marks merit list.
Can women apply?
Yes. 113 posts are for women (32 in HC/GD and 81 in CT/GD), and women pay no fee.

No. A candidate can apply for one post only.
Which post can a 10th pass player apply for?
