Selection Process
- There is no written exam. Selection is on merit, based on the marks you scored in ITI.
- Seats are split by institute type: 70% for government ITI candidates and 30% for private ITI candidates.

- Final selection depends on eligibility, merit and verified documents together.
- After the training is completed, a practical test is held to assess your proficiency.

Step 1: Register on the Apprenticeship India portal
- Open the official portal www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
- Register under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
- Fill in your personal, educational and ITI details carefully.
- Double-check that your trade and certificate details are correct.
Step 2: Submit the application on the ECIL website
- After the portal registration, open the official ECIL website, ecil.co.in.
- Go to Human Resources and then Current Job Openings.
- Find the ECIL ITI Trade Apprentice 2026 notification and application link.
- Fill in the ECIL online application form with the required details.
- Check everything carefully and submit before 11 October 2026, 11:59 PM.
- Take a printout of the form, which carries your system-generated application number, and keep the number safe.
Remember: Registration on the Apprenticeship India portal alone is not sufficient. You must also submit the application on the ECIL website. Check the email ID you entered regularly, because ECIL will send important updates there.
