Application Fee

The notification does not state an application fee. Follow only the official online instructions and do not pay any agent or unverified website.

Trade-wise and Category-wise Vacancy

Electrician has the most seats (36), then Computer Assistant (COPA, 20). The seats may be increased or decreased by HCL.

Age Limit (as on 01-11-2026)

Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma, B.E. and other higher professional qualification holders are not eligible. B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. holders get no extra weightage.
• ITI passed in 2025 or earlier: upload an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper (sworn before a Magistrate or Notary) saying you have neither done apprenticeship nor taken a job. It must be a PDF under 1 MB.
• Candidates who already completed apprenticeship under NAPS cannot take another contract in a different trade.

The notice has a small inconsistency about the qualification for Shotfirer / Blaster, so follow the trade-wise table and the application instructions.

Stipend and Training

The stipend is as admissible under the applicable apprenticeship rules. The notification does not give a monthly amount, so do not assume one. Training lasts 3 years for Mate Mines, 2 years for Shotfirer/Blaster, 1 year 3 months for Driver-cum-Mechanic and 1 year for the other trades. The contract is subject to approval by RDSDE Bhopal.

Selection Process

1. Online registration on the apprenticeship portal and the HCL application.
2. Merit list by Class 10 and ITI marks.
3. Shortlisted list on 8 December 2026.
4. Certificate verification.
5. Medical fitness.

There is no written exam and no interview. For ITI trades the merit is 70% of Class 10 plus 30% of ITI. For trades without ITI it is 100% Class 10. On a tie, the older candidate is preferred. If Class 10 has a CGPA, multiply it by 9.5 for the percentage.

How to Apply for Hindustan Copper Apprentice 2026

Step 1: apprenticeship portal

1. Register on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
2. Complete Aadhaar eKYC and update your bank details, with name, parents’ names and date of birth matching your certificates.
3. Enter your Class 10 or ITI details.
4. Search for the establishment “Hindustan Copper Limited, Malanjkhand Copper Project” and apply for your trade.
5. Save the registration number.

Step 2: HCL online application

1. Open hindustancopper.com, Careers, and find the advertisement.
2. Select your trade and enter your apprenticeship registration number from Step 1.
3. Upload your photograph and signature (JPG, under 50 KB each), and the affidavit if needed (PDF, under 1 MB).
4. Submit by 24 November 2026 and print the application and acknowledgement.

Registering only on the apprenticeship portal is not enough. Apply once only, because if there are many applications only the first is counted. Common reasons for rejection include skipping a step, a wrong or missing registration number, and a mismatch between the Aadhaar profile and certificates.
