Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease depending on the training capacity of the Cadet Training Wings and Army requirements. Selection is from a common merit pool on an all-India basis.

Age Limit (as on 01-07-2027)

Candidates must be between 16½ and 19½ years on 1 July 2027, that is, born between 01 January 2008 and 01 January 2011 (both dates inclusive). The date of birth must match the Class 10 matriculation certificate.

Eligibility Criteria

Gender and status: unmarried male candidates only.
Education: Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board with at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).
JEE (Main) 2026: appearing in the exam is mandatory. Enter your valid JEE Main application number in the form.

Training and Pay

Total training: 4 years.
Phase I (3 years): military and engineering education at a Cadets Training Wing (CTW CME Pune, CTW MCTE Mhow or CTW MCEME Secunderabad).
Phase II (1 year): training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
A fixed monthly stipend of ₹56,100 is paid during the final year at IMA, as reported in the sources used.
On commissioning: Engineering degree, Permanent Commission as Lieutenant, Pay Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) + MSP ₹15,500 per month with allowances.

Selection Process

पात्रता मानदंड

लिंग और स्थिति: केवल अविवाहित पुरुष उम्मीदवार।
