The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement No. 09 of 2026 for Class-IV (Multi-Tasking Staff) and Sanitation Worker posts. There are 2,863 vacancies in the UT, Divisional and District cadres, open only to domicile holders of Jammu and Kashmir. Applications run from 14 October to 12 November 2026. Cadre-wise posts
The vacancies are spread across departments such as Agriculture Production, Animal/Sheep Husbandry, Estates, Public Works (R&B) and ARI & Training. The pay level is SL1, ₹14,800 to ₹47,100.
Age Limit
Age is counted as on 1 January 2026. The minimum age is 18 years.
Eligibility Criteria
- Domicile: You must be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir and hold a valid domicile certificate issued on or before the cut-off date.
- MTS: Class 10 pass is the minimum. Candidates with a qualification above 10+2 are not eligible.
- Sanitation Worker: Class 8 pass is the minimum. Candidates with a qualification above 10+2 are not eligible.
Note that this recruitment has an upper qualification limit too. If you hold a degree higher than 10+2, you cannot apply.
Selection Process
- Written exam: Objective multiple-choice questions (OMR or computer-based). Each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks.
- Merit list: Prepared on the composite score, which is the written exam score plus weightage marks.
- Document verification: Shortlisted candidates have their documents checked at the end.
Marks distribution by cadre (100 marks)
Other weightage (5 marks each):
- Candidates with no family member in government service.
- Widows, divorced women and orphan girls.
- Casual workers who have worked for 5 years or more.

- Register with your name, mobile number and a valid email ID.
- Fill in the form with personal, educational, category and J&K domicile certificate details.
- Choose your post, cadre and department preferences carefully.
- Upload your scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed size and format.
- Pay the application fee online by net banking, debit card or credit card.
- Submit the form before 12 November 2026 and take a clear printout for document verification. You do not need to send a hard copy to the board.

कैडर-वार पद
पद कृषि उत्पादन, पशुपालन/भेड़ पालन, एस्टेट, लोक निर्माण (R&B) और ARI एवं प्रशिक्षण जैसे विभागों में हैं। पे लेवल SL1 है, यानी ₹14,800 से ₹47,100।
आयु सीमा
आयु की गणना 1 जनवरी 2026 के अनुसार होगी। न्यूनतम आयु 18 वर्ष है।
पात्रता
- डोमिसाइल: उम्मीदवार जम्मू-कश्मीर का डोमिसाइल धारक हो और उसके पास कट-ऑफ तारीख तक या उससे पहले जारी वैध डोमिसाइल सर्टिफिकेट हो।
- MTS: कम से कम 10वीं पास होना ज़रूरी है। 10+2 से ऊपर की योग्यता वाले उम्मीदवार पात्र नहीं हैं।
- सैनिटेशन वर्कर: कम से कम 8वीं पास होना ज़रूरी है। 10+2 से ऊपर की योग्यता वाले उम्मीदवार पात्र नहीं हैं।
ध्यान दें कि इस भर्ती में योग्यता की ऊपरी सीमा भी है। अगर आपके पास 10+2 से ऊपर की डिग्री है, तो आप आवेदन नहीं कर सकते।
चयन प्रक्रिया
- लिखित परीक्षा: वस्तुनिष्ठ बहुविकल्पीय प्रश्न (OMR या कंप्यूटर आधारित)। हर गलत उत्तर पर 0.25 अंक कटेंगे।
