Selection Process

Grade A & B posts (Table I & II): CBT of 100 marks (85% weightage) and Personal Interview of 15 marks (15% weightage).
Grade A posts under Table III (Hindi Officer & Confidential Secretary): CBT of 100 marks (100% weightage for merit), followed by a qualifying Proficiency/Skill Test of 100 marks (qualifying marks 50).
Final score (Grades A & B): (CBT marks out of 100 × 0.85) + PI marks out of 15.

Exam Pattern

The CBT carries 100 marks and lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. PwBD candidates get compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour.
Qualifying marks in CBT (Grades A & B, Table I & II): 50 out of 100 for UR, OBC (NCL) & EWS; 40 out of 100 for SC, ST & PwBD.
Qualifying marks in CBT (Table III): 50 out of 100 for UR and OBC (NCL); 40 out of 100 for PwBD.

Job Description

Superintending Research Scientist: research, analytical, experimental and technology development activities including laboratory, pilot-scale, field validation and scale-up studies; designing, executing and evaluating research projects; operating laboratory and pilot plant equipment; ensuring HSE compliance.
Hindi Officer: implementation and promotion of Official Language (Rajbhasha) policies; translation of official documents between Hindi and English; monitoring and reporting on Official Language implementation.
Confidential Secretary: managing confidential correspondence, scheduling and coordination of meetings, handling office documentation, liaison with internal and external stakeholders, and proficiency in Shorthand and transcription.
