For students selected for a scooty

• A free scooty, given as an e-Rupi voucher. The student can buy a model of her choice from approved dealers.
• The voucher amount is sanctioned by the Finance Department.
• The e-Rupi voucher is sent to the mobile number registered in the student's Jan Aadhaar.
• 1-year general insurance with the scooty.
• 2 litres of petrol, given once.
• Transport cost up to delivery.

For eligible students not selected for a scooty (incentive amount)

• Rs 10,000 every year during the graduate course.
• Rs 20,000 every year during the postgraduate course.
• For the second year of postgraduate study, Rs 20,000 is paid only if the student scored 50% or more in the first year.

Basic conditions

• The applicant must be a girl student of the Most Backward Class.
• She must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
• Annual family income from all sources must not be more than Rs 2.5 lakh.
• She must have scored at least 50% in class 12.
• She must meet the admission and academic conditions of the scheme.
• For the scooty process, she must have regularly appeared in the first semester exam of her graduate course.

Castes included in the Most Backward Class list

• Banjara, Baldia and Labana
• Gadia Lohar and Gadolia
• Gujjar and Gurjar
• Raika and Rebari
• Gadariya and Geri

Verification before the scooty is approved

• The college principal or district nodal officer matches the details and documents in the online application with the student's original documents.
• After checking, the application is marked either eligible or not eligible for a scooty.
• Only students who meet the conditions are approved for a scooty through the e-Rupi voucher.

Keep these ready before applying

• Class 10 marksheet or certificate
• Class 12 marksheet or certificate
• Previous class or latest marksheet, where required
• Rajasthan native (mool niwas) certificate
• Most Backward Class caste certificate
• Family income certificate
• Aadhaar card
• Jan Aadhaar card or Jan Aadhaar details
• Bank passbook or bank account details linked to Jan Aadhaar, where required
• Admission fee receipt or proof of admission, where required
• Affidavit or declaration that you are not taking another scholarship, where required
• A recent passport-size photo, where the portal asks for it
• A correct and working mobile number linked to Jan Aadhaar

• Check the latest eligibility, documents and dates before you apply.
• Keep the mobile number in Jan Aadhaar correct, because the e-Rupi voucher goes only to that number.
• A scooty received under this scheme is subject to the rules on its use and on giving it to another person.
• Where the rules do not allow more than one benefit, do not take another scholarship or scheme at the same time.
• In the 2025-26 final merit list, a total of 29,419 students were selected under the Devnarayan and Kali Bai Bheel scooty schemes together.
• Engineering and diploma girl students can also check the Kalpana Chawla Scooty Yojana.

Who can apply?

• Girl students of the Most Backward Class of Rajasthan who meet the income, marks and admission conditions.

What is the last date for 2026-27?

• 30 November 2026. Applications opened on 1 October 2026.

Do I get the scooty directly?

• No. You get an e-Rupi voucher on your Jan Aadhaar mobile number and buy the scooty from an approved dealer.

What if I am not selected for a scooty?

• An eligible student can get Rs 10,000 a year in graduation and Rs 20,000 a year in postgraduation as an incentive.

What is the minimum class 12 mark?

• At least 50%.

What is the income limit?

• Annual family income from all sources up to Rs 2.5 lakh.
