Artificial Limbs and Assistive Devices Scheme (ADIP): Financial Help for Aids, Apply on the ARJUN Portal
Running since 1981, this scheme gives eligible citizens with 40% or more disability help to get assistive devices such as artificial limbs, wheelchairs and hearing aids. Apply on the ARJUN Portal or through an authorised agency/camp.

Latest Status
- The revised scheme guidelines are dated 26 September 2024. One report says the scheme was approved up to 31 March 2026. Confirm the position after that, and the latest limits, from the ARJUN portal or the department.
- You can begin by registering online on the ARJUN (ADIP MIS) portal, and the device is given after assessment at a centre.
- As per the guidelines, an eligible beneficiary registered through the portal is to get the device within six months of registration.

Help depends on the type of device, approved price and income. Do not treat the maximum price in the official device list as direct cash assistance. Agencies provide one year of free maintenance.
Who Is Eligible
- Indian citizen, no fixed age limit.
- A UDID card, or a disability certificate of at least 40% with the UDID enrolment number.
- Aadhaar or Aadhaar enrolment ID.
- Monthly income from all sources not above ₹30,000. For dependents, the parents'/guardian's income.
- No help for the same purpose from another source in the last three years. For children under 12, a gap of at least one year.
- Some devices have separate conditions, so approval is not automatic for every device.
Documents Required
- Aadhaar card or Aadhaar enrolment ID
- UDID card or UDID enrolment number
- Disability certificate
- Income certificate issued by a revenue officer (BPL, MGNREGA or disability pension card also accepted under some conditions)
- Parents'/guardian's income proof for dependents
- Recent passport-size photo and medical documents related to assessment
How to Apply
- Register as a beneficiary on the ARJUN portal (with UDID details or enrolment number).
- Keep Aadhaar, disability proof and income documents ready.
- Use the portal's Centre Finder to locate the nearest authorised agency or centre.
- Get documents checked and a physical/functional assessment done by a rehabilitation expert at the centre.
- The type and size of the device is decided from the assessment. The agency arranges the device and fits it if needed.
- Those who do not want to apply online can go directly to an authorised agency such as ALIMCO, a National Institute or a DDRC, or to an assessment camp.

ताज़ा स्थिति
- योजना के संशोधित दिशानिर्देश 26 सितंबर 2024 के हैं। एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार योजना की मंज़ूरी 31 मार्च 2026 तक बताई गई थी। उसके बाद की स्थिति और ताज़ा सीमाएँ ARJUN पोर्टल या विभाग से पक्की करें।
- आवेदन अब ARJUN पोर्टल (ADIP MIS) के ज़रिए ऑनलाइन पंजीकरण से शुरू हो सकता है और केंद्र पर असेसमेंट के बाद उपकरण दिया जाता है।
- दिशानिर्देश के अनुसार पोर्टल से पंजीकृत पात्र लाभार्थी को पंजीकरण की तारीख़ से छह माह के भीतर उपकरण दिया जाना है।

सहायता उपकरण के प्रकार, मंज़ूर कीमत और आय पर निर्भर है। आधिकारिक सूची में दी गई अधिकतम कीमत को सीधे नकद सहायता न समझें। संस्थान एक वर्ष की मुफ़्त मरम्मत/रखरखाव देते हैं।
कौन पात्र है
- भारत का नागरिक, कोई तय आयु सीमा नहीं।
- UDID कार्ड हो, या UDID नामांकन संख्या के साथ कम से कम 40% दिव्यांगता का प्रमाण पत्र।
- आधार या आधार नामांकन आईडी।
- सभी स्रोतों से मासिक आय ₹30,000 से अधिक न हो। आश्रित के मामले में माता-पिता/अभिभावक की आय।
- पिछले तीन वर्षों में उसी उद्देश्य के लिए किसी अन्य स्रोत से सहायता न मिली हो। 12 वर्ष से कम के बच्चों के लिए अंतर कम से कम एक वर्ष।
- कुछ उपकरणों की अलग शर्तें हैं, इसलिए हर उपकरण की स्वीकृति अपने आप नहीं मिलती।

आवेदन कैसे करें
- ARJUN पोर्टल पर लाभार्थी पंजीकरण करें (UDID विवरण या नामांकन संख्या से)।
- आधार, दिव्यांगता प्रमाण और आय के दस्तावेज़ तैयार रखें।
- पोर्टल के सेंटर फ़ाइंडर से नज़दीकी अधिकृत एजेंसी या केंद्र खोजें।
- केंद्र पर दस्तावेज़ जाँच और पुनर्वास विशेषज्ञ द्वारा शारीरिक/कार्यात्मक असेसमेंट कराएँ।
- असेसमेंट के आधार पर उपकरण का प्रकार और माप तय होता है। एजेंसी उपकरण की व्यवस्था और ज़रूरत पर फ़िटिंग करती है।
- जो ऑनलाइन नहीं करना चाहते वे ALIMCO, राष्ट्रीय संस्थान, DDRC जैसी अधिकृत एजेंसी या असेसमेंट कैंप में सीधे जा सकते हैं।
