• The subsidy is capped at Rs 1,000 a month. It is credited by the electricity company to the farmer's bank account.
• If the bill is below Rs 1,000, the difference up to Rs 1,000 is deposited in the farmer's bank account.
• Example: for a bill of Rs 2,000 the cap of Rs 1,000 applies, so the farmer pays Rs 1,000.
• Dues before the month the scheme started are not covered by the subsidy.

Eligible

• Native resident of Rajasthan.
• General category rural farmer.
• Agricultural electricity connection in your name.
• No pending electricity bill.

Not eligible

• Central and state government employees.
• Agricultural consumers who pay income tax.
• Farmers with an unpaid previous bill.
• Farmers facing action for electricity theft or misuse. They can get the benefit from the next month after being cleared and paying the full charged amount.

• Jan Aadhaar or Bhamashah card
• Aadhaar card (linked to your bank account)
• Bank account details and passbook
• Agricultural electricity connection bill

• Farmers pay the bill in 6 bimonthly instalments.
• Pay your dues, including the bimonthly instalment, on time. If you have unpaid dues, the benefit starts from the month after you clear them.

How much subsidy do I get?

• Up to Rs 1,000 a month and Rs 12,000 a year.

Can I apply online?

• The department has not announced online registration. Apply with the offline form from a DISCOM office.

Is the benefit available if my bill is overdue?

• No. Clear the dues first and the benefit starts from the next month.
