Under this scheme, qualified candidates are appointed as temporary guest teachers against vacant teaching posts in government schools, colleges and Sanskrit colleges, and are paid an honorarium based on classes taught. There is no written test or interview. Here is the full guide for 2026-27.

- For the 2026-27 cycle, college and Sanskrit college guest teachers can teach a maximum of 14 hours per week.
- Payment is made after every 50 classes. Any remaining classes are paid when the work ends.
- Payment is made only after the head of the institution verifies the teaching work. Monthly payment is not automatic.

General Eligibility
- Retired government employees and private candidates can apply if they meet the qualification for the post.
- Retired teachers can be appointed up to age 65.
- REET or another eligibility test is needed for school-level posts where the rules or notification require it.
- Rajasthan residents may be given preference where the notification says so.
- You must not have been dismissed or removed from government, semi-government or local body service.
- You must not have been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude, and where the notification says so, no criminal case should be pending.
Documents Required
- Signed passport size photo; Aadhaar card or proof of registration
- Class 10 marksheet or birth certificate; Class 12, graduation and postgraduation marksheets as per the post
- Professional qualification certificates (B.Ed, D.El.Ed, M.Phil, PhD, NET/JRF/SET/SLET) and REET certificate where applicable
- For college posts, proof of research publications, awards and experience if you want them counted in selection
- Category certificate for reserved categories; Rajasthan domicile or residence certificate
- Disability certificate, and certificates for ex-servicemen, widows, deserted women and sportspersons where claimed
- Character certificates from 2 gazetted officers
- For retired staff: pension payment order number and details of the post held at retirement
- A signed affidavit accepting the scheme terms, to be submitted when joining
How to Apply
- Read the notification of your district or department and find the vacant guest teacher posts and subjects you qualify for.
- Download or collect the application form for that post and institution.
- Fill in your personal details, qualifications, experience and other information asked.
- Attach self-attested copies of all certificates and documents, and sign the form and declaration.
- Submit the form within the last date at the concerned government institution.
- Officials verify applications and prepare the merit list or selection panel. Selected candidates are called to join as vacancies are available.
For the 2026-27 Sanskrit Education notification, forms had to be submitted in person to the principal of the concerned government Sanskrit college.
Selection Process
School level
- Selection committees are formed at school and cluster level. Vacancies are published on the Shala Darpan portal.
- The committee checks eligibility and documents and lists 3 candidates per post by merit weightage.
- The list goes through the block and district education offices to a district committee headed by the District Collector or nominee, which gives final approval.
College education
- Each government college identifies vacancies once for the whole session and takes applications.
- After verification, a merit panel is prepared and approved by a committee headed by the principal of the district's lead college. Assistant Professor candidates must be 21 or above.
- Guest teachers are appointed from the panel in merit order as needed during the session.
Sanskrit education
- The Sanskrit Education Commissionerate notifies vacancies of Assistant Professors in government Sanskrit colleges.
- Applications are listed, a preliminary merit list is published, objections are invited and original documents are verified.
- A committee headed by the Joint Director approves the final merit list. Selected candidates must join by the last date or the next candidate gets the chance.

- 2026-27 चक्र में महाविद्यालय और संस्कृत महाविद्यालय के अतिथि शिक्षक सप्ताह में अधिकतम 14 घंटे पढ़ा सकते हैं।
- हर 50 कक्षाएँ पूरी होने पर भुगतान होता है। बची हुई कक्षाओं का भुगतान कार्य समाप्त होने पर होता है।
- संस्थान प्रमुख द्वारा शिक्षण कार्य का सत्यापन होने के बाद ही भुगतान होता है। हर महीने भुगतान अपने आप तय नहीं है।

सामान्य पात्रता
- पद की योग्यता पूरी करने पर सेवानिवृत्त सरकारी कर्मचारी और निजी अभ्यर्थी आवेदन कर सकते हैं।
- सेवानिवृत्त शिक्षकों को 65 वर्ष की आयु तक नियुक्त किया जा सकता है।
- जहाँ नियम या अधिसूचना में हो, वहाँ स्कूल स्तर के पदों के लिए रीट या अन्य पात्रता परीक्षा आवश्यक है।
- जहाँ अधिसूचना में हो, वहाँ राजस्थान के निवासियों को प्राथमिकता दी जा सकती है।
- अभ्यर्थी सरकारी, अर्ध-सरकारी या स्थानीय निकाय सेवा से बर्खास्त या हटाया गया न हो।
- नैतिक अधमता के अपराध में दोषी न ठहराया गया हो, और जहाँ अधिसूचना में हो वहाँ कोई आपराधिक मामला लंबित न हो।

आवेदन कैसे करें

चयन प्रक्रिया
विद्यालय स्तर
- विद्यालय और क्लस्टर स्तर पर चयन समितियाँ बनती हैं। रिक्तियाँ शाला दर्पण पोर्टल पर जारी होती हैं।
- समिति पात्रता और दस्तावेज़ जाँचकर मेरिट भारांक के आधार पर प्रति पद 3 अभ्यर्थी सूचीबद्ध करती है।
- सूची खंड और जिला शिक्षा कार्यालय होते हुए जिला कलेक्टर या उनके नामित अधिकारी की अध्यक्षता वाली जिला समिति के पास जाती है, जो अंतिम स्वीकृति देती है।
महाविद्यालय शिक्षा
- हर राजकीय महाविद्यालय पूरे सत्र के लिए एक बार रिक्त पद जारी कर आवेदन लेता है।
- सत्यापन के बाद मेरिट पैनल बनता है, जिसे जिले के अग्रणी महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य की अध्यक्षता वाली समिति स्वीकृत करती है। सहायक आचार्य के लिए न्यूनतम आयु 21 वर्ष है।
- सत्र के दौरान आवश्यकता अनुसार मेरिट क्रम से पैनल में से अतिथि शिक्षक नियुक्त होते हैं।
संस्कृत शिक्षा
- संस्कृत शिक्षा आयुक्तालय राजकीय संस्कृत महाविद्यालयों में सहायक आचार्य की रिक्तियाँ अधिसूचित करता है।
- आवेदनों की सूची जारी होती है, प्रारंभिक मेरिट सूची बनती है, आपत्तियाँ ली जाती हैं और मूल दस्तावेज़ों का सत्यापन होता है।
- संयुक्त निदेशक की अध्यक्षता वाली समिति अंतिम मेरिट सूची स्वीकृत करती है। चयनित अभ्यर्थी को अंतिम तिथि तक कार्यभार ग्रहण करना होता है, अन्यथा अगले अभ्यर्थी को अवसर मिलता है।
