Rajasthan Pashumitra Yojana: Work-Based Honorarium for Unemployed Livestock Assistants and Veterinarians
Under this scheme, trained unemployed livestock assistants and veterinarians work as "Pashumitra", providing doorstep services such as tagging, vaccination and artificial insemination, and are paid an honorarium based on the work done. Here are the eligibility rules, honorarium rates and process.
Latest Status
- The scheme was notified in 2023. Offline applications were invited from 30 May to 14 June 2023, with a target of 5,000 Pashumitras.
- We did not find any new open application notice. Please ask the Joint Director/Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry office of your district whether applications are open.
- Himachal Pradesh also has a separate "Pashu Mitra" policy. It is different from Rajasthan's scheme.

What Pashumitras Do
- Tagging animals and entering data on the INAPH portal.
- Vaccination and artificial insemination.
- Help at veterinary camps.
- Helping livestock owners fill Kisan Credit Card forms.
Health certificates for animal insurance can be issued only by veterinarians.

Who Is Eligible
Eligible
- Native resident of Rajasthan.
- Veterinarian: B.V.Sc. & A.H. from a recognised institution and registered with the State Veterinary Council.
- Livestock assistant: 2-year animal husbandry diploma and registration with RAJUVAS.
- Unemployed assistants already running a livestock service centre are also eligible.
- Where one location got too many applications, selection was based on 50% marks in Class 12 and in the diploma/degree.

How to Apply (Earlier Process)
- Get the application form from the district-level Joint Director or Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry office.
- Fill the form correctly and attach all documents.
- Submit it at the same office from where you got the form.
- A committee checks the application and documents.
- After selection, a ₹5,000 security deposit goes to the district livestock development board and an affidavit on ₹100 non-judicial stamp paper was required.
- Selected Pashumitras received one day of training.

- योजना की अधिसूचना 2023 में आई थी। ऑफलाइन आवेदन 30 मई से 14 जून 2023 तक माँगे गए थे और लक्ष्य 5,000 पशुमित्र का था।
- हमें अभी खुली हुई नई आवेदन अधिसूचना नहीं मिली। नया आवेदन खुला है या नहीं, यह अपने जिले के संयुक्त निदेशक/उपनिदेशक, पशुपालन कार्यालय से ज़रूर पूछें।
- हिमाचल प्रदेश में भी "पशु मित्र" नाम की अलग नीति है। वह राजस्थान की योजना से अलग है।

कौन पात्र है
पात्र
- राजस्थान का मूल निवासी।
- पशु चिकित्सक: मान्यता प्राप्त संस्था से B.V.Sc. & A.H. और राज्य पशु चिकित्सा परिषद में पंजीकृत।
- पशुधन सहायक: 2 वर्ष का पशुपालन डिप्लोमा और RAJUVAS में पंजीकृत।
- पहले से पशुधन सेवा केंद्र चला रहे बेरोजगार सहायक भी पात्र।
- एक जगह ज़्यादा आवेदन होने पर चयन 12वीं और डिप्लोमा/डिग्री के 50% अंकों के आधार पर होता था।

आवेदन कैसे करें (पहले की प्रक्रिया)
- जिला स्तरीय संयुक्त निदेशक या उपनिदेशक, पशुपालन कार्यालय से आवेदन पत्र लें।
- फॉर्म ठीक से भरें और सभी दस्तावेज़ लगाएँ।
- उसी कार्यालय में जमा करें जहाँ से फॉर्म लिया था।
- समिति आवेदन और दस्तावेज़ों की जाँच करती है।
- चयन के बाद ₹5,000 प्रतिभूति राशि जिला पशुधन विकास बोर्ड को और ₹100 के नॉन-ज्यूडिशियल स्टाम्प पेपर पर शपथ पत्र देना होता था।
- चयनित पशुमित्र को एक दिन का प्रशिक्षण मिलता था।
