The earlier Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder scheme has been replaced by the Mukhyamantri Rasoi Gas Subsidy Yojana. Eligible families get one cylinder a month at ₹450. Here are the rules, documents and e-KYC steps.

What Changed from the Old Scheme
- This scheme has replaced the earlier Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme (₹500 cylinder, registration at Mehngai Rahat Camps).
- There is no camp registration now. Under the new system, the subsidy comes to your Jan Aadhaar-linked bank account.
How the Subsidy Works
- You pay the full cylinder price to the gas agency.
- The subsidy is credited to your Jan Aadhaar-linked bank account in the first week of the next month.
- If you buy more than one cylinder in a month, only one gets the subsidy.
- This means up to 12 subsidised cylinders a year.

How to Complete e-KYC (Seeding)
- Visit your nearest e-Mitra centre or fair price shop.
- Provide your ration card, LPG ID and Jan Aadhaar card.
- The staff links your documents to the scheme and completes e-KYC.
- After e-KYC, the subsidy for each cylinder starts reaching your bank account.

पुरानी योजना से बदलाव
- पहले चल रही इंदिरा गांधी गैस सिलेंडर सब्सिडी योजना (₹500 में सिलेंडर, महंगाई राहत कैंप में पंजीकरण) की जगह अब यह योजना लागू है।
- अब कैंप में पंजीकरण की व्यवस्था नहीं है। नई व्यवस्था में सब्सिडी जन आधार से जुड़े बैंक खाते में आती है।
सब्सिडी कैसे मिलती है
- गैस एजेंसी को सिलेंडर की पूरी कीमत चुकानी होती है।
- सब्सिडी की राशि अगले माह के पहले सप्ताह में जन आधार से जुड़े बैंक खाते में आती है।
- एक महीने में एक से ज़्यादा सिलेंडर लेने पर सब्सिडी सिर्फ एक सिलेंडर पर मिलती है।
- इस तरह साल में अधिकतम 12 सिलेंडर पर लाभ मिल सकता है।
