What is BRN / Sanstha Aadhaar?

The Business Registration Number (BRN) is a unique 16-digit number that gives every business in Rajasthan an official identity. Since 2023 the system has been renamed Sanstha Aadhaar, and the number is called the Sanstha Aadhaar Number (SAN). It is issued online by the state government through the NIC-built portal; there is no offline route.

Because details are shared with other registering departments, it makes later registrations (such as shop, labour or local body services) simpler.

Government departments, boards, corporations and autonomous bodies
Any establishment that wants government grants or services in Rajasthan

The state requires a SAN before an establishment applies for or receives government grants or services, and it is often asked for in electricity, water and local body applications.

Documents & Details Required

Aadhaar or Jan Aadhaar number of the owner / nodal person, with mobile number linked for OTP
Valid email ID
Name, address and activity of the business, and head office details if any
Other ID (PAN, Voter ID, Ration Card, Driving Licence or Passport) if Aadhaar is not used
Electricity bill, bank statement or photo, if the department asks

How to Apply

Open the Sanstha Aadhaar portal (or log in through Rajasthan SSO)
Read the instructions and accept them
Enter the mobile number and verify the OTP
Choose the form for a business / firm, or for an NGO
Fill business name, address, activity and registration details
Authenticate with Aadhaar or Jan Aadhaar and submit
Download your certificate with the 16-digit number

With Aadhaar or Jan Aadhaar authentication the number is generated automatically. With other ID proofs it is issued after verification.

बिज़नेस रजिस्ट्रेशन नंबर (BRN) एक यूनिक 16 अंकों का नंबर है, जो राजस्थान के हर कारोबार को आधिकारिक पहचान देता है। 2023 से इस व्यवस्था का नाम संस्था आधार हो गया है और नंबर को संस्था आधार नंबर (SAN) कहा जाता है। यह राज्य सरकार द्वारा NIC के बनाए पोर्टल से ऑनलाइन जारी होता है; ऑफलाइन तरीका नहीं है।

इसकी जानकारी अन्य पंजीयन विभागों से साझा होती है, इसलिए आगे के रजिस्ट्रेशन (जैसे दुकान, श्रम या स्थानीय निकाय सेवाएं) आसान हो जाते हैं।

किसे रजिस्टर करना चाहिए?

दुकानें, फर्म, फैक्ट्री और सभी निजी कारोबार
NGO और स्वयंसेवी संस्थाएं
सरकारी विभाग, बोर्ड, निगम और स्वायत्त संस्थाएं
राजस्थान में सरकारी अनुदान या सेवाएं चाहने वाला कोई भी प्रतिष्ठान

राज्य में सरकारी अनुदान या सेवाओं के लिए आवेदन से पहले SAN ज़रूरी किया गया है, और बिजली, पानी व स्थानीय निकाय के आवेदनों में भी अक्सर मांगा जाता है।

वैध ईमेल ID
कारोबार का नाम, पता और गतिविधि, तथा हेड ऑफिस की जानकारी (यदि हो)
आधार न लें तो अन्य ID (PAN, वोटर ID, राशन कार्ड, ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस या पासपोर्ट)
विभाग मांगे तो बिजली बिल, बैंक स्टेटमेंट या फोटो

अप्लाई कैसे करें

संस्था आधार पोर्टल खोलें (या राजस्थान SSO से लॉगिन करें)
निर्देश पढ़कर सहमति दें
मोबाइल नंबर डालें और OTP सत्यापित करें
कारोबार / फर्म या NGO का फॉर्म चुनें
कारोबार का नाम, पता, गतिविधि और पंजीयन विवरण भरें
आधार या जन आधार से सत्यापन कर सबमिट करें
16 अंकों के नंबर वाला प्रमाणपत्र डाउनलोड करें

आधार या जन आधार सत्यापन से नंबर अपने आप बन जाता है। अन्य ID प्रूफ से जांच के बाद जारी होता है।
