JEE Main 2027 Applications Open: Apply Till 22 November; If There Is a Mistake You Can Now Fill a Fresh Form, New Application Number Will Be Issued and Old Fee Will Not Be Refunded
The National Testing Agency (NTA) started online applications for the January session of JEE Main 2027 on 24 October 2026. The last date to apply is 22 November 2026. As per NTA's advisory of 30 October, candidates can now fill a fresh online application if there is a mistake, even if they have generated an application number or paid the fee. As per a Patrika report, about 1.70 lakh applications had been made by Saturday afternoon. This is an update to our earlier news 'Registration Expected Soon'.
Fresh Form If Mistake: What Is the Rule
- If there is a mistake in the application, a fresh online application can be made; every new application will generate a new application number.
- Photo, signature and other required documents will have to be uploaded again in the new application.
- The fee paid for the old application will neither be refunded nor adjusted against the fee of the new application.
- Only that application will be valid for which the fee has been paid successfully and the confirmation page received; a new application without fee will not be valid.

Exam City and Application Rules
- The exam will be held in 310 cities this time (323 last time); some cities including Hisar, Khandwa and Asansol have been dropped from the list.
- Four exam city choices have to be given in the application and once the city is allotted it cannot be changed.
- It is advised to use your own DigiLocker, Jan Parichay or e-Pramaan account for the application.
- The exam will be held in 13 languages including English and Hindi.

- Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in, click on the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application link and register with mobile and email.
- Fill personal and educational details, upload photo-signature and required documents, and pay the fee.
- Download and keep the confirmation page safe.
