Rajasthan NMMS Scholarship 2027: Applications for Class 8 Students From 30 October, Exam on 20 December; Rs 12,000 per Year Scholarship

The programme of the Rajasthan State-Level Selection Exam 2027 under the central government's National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) has been released. Online applications start on 30 October 2026 and can be filled till 30 November 2026. The selection exam will be held on 20 December 2026. Selected students get a scholarship of Rs 12,000 every year from Class 9 to 12.

Eligibility
- The student must be studying in Class 8 in an eligible government school of Rajasthan in session 2026-27.
- General students need at least 55% marks in Class 7; SC/ST students get a 5% relaxation as per rules.
- Parents' annual income from all sources must not exceed Rs 3.50 lakh.
- Students of Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools and other schools made ineligible by the scheme rules cannot apply.

After getting the scholarship in Class 9, the prescribed academic and other conditions must be met to continue it in Classes 10, 11 and 12.
What Parents and Schools Should Do
- Keep the income certificate, Class 7 marksheet, Aadhaar and bank account details ready.
- Make sure the bank account is linked to Aadhaar so there is no problem receiving the amount via DBT later.
- Check the department notification for the official application link and final instructions when applications open on 30 October.
