Rs 1.20 Lakh to Build a Pucca House in Your Village! PM Gramin Awas Yojana New List Out, Check Your Name Like This
Rs 1.20 lakh in plains, Rs 1.30 lakh in hilly areas, plus Rs 12,000 separately for a toilet
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G), rural families living in kutcha or dilapidated houses get financial assistance to build a pucca house. The second phase of the scheme runs from FY 2024-25 to 2028-29, for which the Union Cabinet approved 2 crore more houses on 9 August 2024 (total outlay about Rs 3.06 lakh crore).
What the scheme provides
- House assistance: Rs 1.20 lakh in plain areas and Rs 1.30 lakh in hilly and difficult areas.
- Toilet: Up to Rs 12,000 separately under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin).
- Wage support: Earlier, 90-95 days of MGNREGA wages were linked to house construction. According to one report, MGNREGA has been replaced by the VB-G RAM G Act from 1 July 2026, so confirm the current wage provision with your Gram Panchayat.
How beneficiaries are selected
- Unlike the urban scheme, PMAY-G has no direct online application. Beneficiaries are selected from Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC 2011) data and the Awaas+ 2024 survey.
- The Awaas+ 2024 survey began on 15 January 2025 to add left-out families. Eligible families can also self-survey through the AwaasPlus 2024 mobile app with Aadhaar face authentication.
- The list is not released on one national date; it is viewed on the portal at state, district, block and gram panchayat level.
How to check your name in the list
- Go to the official PMAY-G portal (pmayg.dord.gov.in).
- Open the Awaassoft or Reports section.
- Under Social Audit Reports, choose 'Beneficiary Details for Verification'.
- Select the year (or 'Cumulative progress'), state Rajasthan, district, block and gram panchayat.
- In the list that opens, check the name, father's name and sanction status. You can download the PDF. If you know your registration number, you can also use Beneficiary Search.
