RSSB CET Senior Secondary Exam Proposed for 1 to 3 December in 6 Shifts: Merit of Over 40 Lakh Applicants Through Normalisation; CET Opens the Way to 26 Recruitments
As per a news report, normalisation will be applied in the RSSB Common Eligibility Test (CET) at both the senior secondary and graduate levels. To balance the difficulty of papers across different shifts, marks will be normalised before the merit list is released. The board chairman gave this information on Monday. Over 40 lakh applications have been received for the two exams.

What Normalisation Means

- Marks are adjusted so that candidates of different shifts can be compared at a similar level.
- The merit list will be prepared on the basis of normalised marks.
- As per the report, general category candidates need at least 40% and reserved category candidates 35% marks; verify this in the board's notice.
CET Opens the Way to 26 Recruitments
- As per the report, the senior secondary level CET gives a chance to take part in the recruitments of 14 sectors.
- The graduate level CET opens the way to recruitments of 12 sectors, including posts such as Patwari, VDO and Junior Accountant (as per the report).
- Together, this makes the CET the entry point to 26 recruitments.
