In earlier PET cycles the provisional key came within a few days to about a week after the exam. This is only a past example and is not confirmed for 2026.
Unofficial Key vs Official Key
The official provisional answer key of UPSSSC has not been released yet. The keys now available online are unofficial keys made by coaching websites.
- Unofficial keys are not issued by UPSSSC and can have mistakes. Two websites can give a different answer for the same question.
- Use them only to get a rough idea of your score. Do not take any decision on their basis.
- Only the official key and the final result decide your qualifying status.
- If a page says Answer Key Out but it is not on upsssc.gov.in, it is not the Commission's key.
How to Calculate Your Expected Score
- Find your exam date and shift on your admit card.
- Take the key of that exact date, shift and question paper set (A, B, C or D).
- Match your answers with the key and count the right, wrong and unattempted questions.
- Add 1 mark for each right answer.
- Subtract 0.25 mark for each wrong answer. Unattempted questions give 0.
- The result is your expected raw score out of 100.

Why Your Final Score May Differ
- The exam was held on three days in six shifts, and some shifts can have an easier or harder paper.
- Reports say UPSSSC will apply normalisation across shifts and days, so the final score can differ from the raw score.
- Please confirm the method in the official notice.
How to Raise an Objection When the Official Key Comes
- Check upsssc.gov.in every day from 2 November 2026.
- Open the notice of the provisional answer key and note the last date for objections.
- Open the objection link as told in the notice.
- Select the question and the set, and choose the type of objection.
- Give a short and clear reason, with proof if the form allows it.
- Submit and save the confirmation.
- Do not wait for the last day.
One website mentions an objection fee, but it is not confirmed. Read the 2026 notice before paying anything.
