About This Guide

Common Tips for All PAN Work
- Use only official portals: Income Tax e-Filing, Protean (NSDL) and UTIITSL.
- Keep name and date of birth identical across PAN, Aadhaar and bank records.
- Use a mobile number that is active and linked, because OTP is needed everywhere.
- Save the acknowledgement number and track the request.
- Never share your OTP, and never pay anyone extra for a "faster" PAN.
- Indicative fees seen in the guides: about ₹72 for e-PAN only and about ₹107 with a physical card, for an Indian address. Confirm the current fee on the portal.
